June 14, 2026 at 04:00 PM

About
A talk with Philippe Ferrando and Joseph Petit. A special moment to explore the archaeological riches of a little-known area, a small mountain range between Avignon, Châteaurenard, the Alpilles and Boulbon, with Frigolet abbey at its centre. An exploration of the history of the Montagnette, from its origins to the end of the Second World War, with Philippe Ferrando and Joseph Petit, both historians and amateur archaeologists, through various ancient and medieval sites — Gallic oppidums, Roman roads, medieval chapels and more. Hosted by Nicolas de Lavergne (De natura rerum).
PRACTICAL INFO
Free parking at Place Gilles Léontin, a 10-minute walk from the château entrance.
Due to the historic nature of the site (stairs, uneven stone paths), access for people with reduced mobility is very limited. Restrooms are available at the castle.
