European Archaeology Days
June 13 — June 14 2026

About
For the European Archaeology Days, the castle will be open on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June. A pop-up medieval and Provençal bookshop, curated by the De natura rerum bookshop, will be set up on site, along with the journal L'Archéologue. On Sunday, a talk is offered with Philippe Ferrando and Joseph Petit, both historians and amateur archaeologists from Graveson, on the history and archaeology of the Montagnette, the small mountain range between Avignon, Châteaurenard, the Alpilles and Boulbon. Roman roads, oppidums, medieval chapels... The secrets of the Montagnette!
PRACTICAL INFO
Free parking at Place Gilles Léontin, a 10-minute walk from the château entrance.
Due to the historic nature of the site (stairs, uneven stone paths), access for people with reduced mobility is very limited. Restrooms are available at the castle.
