About
The programme is that of Romne Gilia, a French gypsy music ensemble founded in 2022 at the Accordanses festival in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, where it performs every year. The programme features various bravura instrumental interludes such as Monti's csardas, along with other emblematic pieces of the gypsy repertoire in the same vein. Musicians: Tosca Helmstetter (vocals), Engé Helmstetter (guitar), Yardani Torres Maiani (violin). Yardani Torres Maiani is a virtuoso violinist, equally at home in the baroque and classical repertoires as in gypsy music. Winner of the Henryk Szeryng prize of the Geneva Haute École de Musique, where he studied, he is also a renowned composer. The concert CD will be available after the performance.
